I wanted to make sure that the things that I blogged about were light hearted and if I could help it, funny. Today's is neither. My Mother sent me this, it happened to a friend of a friend's grandchild. Between us we own 6 pairs of Crocs....it's summer and we are wearing them all the time, I am guessing some of you are too. The Grandfather of this boy below sent this out to alert everyone he knows to the possible danger of wearing Crocs on escalators or moving walkways.
This happened in the Atlanta Airport on one of the escalators between terminals. The little boy's mother had to snatch his foot loose, the doctors were able to save his toes.

Holy crap!!!!!! Poor baby.
Thanks for the warning!
Ack! That is truly awful!!!
that munched up shoe is just too sad - on top of the cast.
Wow! I had no idea that could happen with crocs.
egads! That is terrible!
We do not wear them, just never have. They are not encouraged at Disneyland and other theme parks anymore either.
Oh dear lord.
Years ago my mom worked part time in a department store. One night all these alerts went off around the store. A little boy's shoelaces had gotten stuck in the escalator (you know, where the railing goes into the escalator to come out the other side?). Well, this was before there were the safety guards there. It was horrible. His foot was all mangled.
How in the world did that happen with Crocs? I'd think I would be MUCH more scared of untied or long shoelaces.
How horrible for him. He'll probably always have a fear of escalators now!
Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as it could have been. *shudder*
Well I couldn't wait any longer!
being your 2nd cuz and reading stuff I mostly knew about, some I didn't,? I felt the need to respond. I would say you have me beat, but lets consider the facts that i am about to turn 50 next year and have an 9 yold angel boy,a 6 yold superheroanticrist and a 4 yold princess,we could have a tie! I have a lot more to tell. kat it was good to hear from you I wondered what you have been up to, 3 kids in 3 years, yikes.
anyway, let me leave YALL with this, middle boy hollers up from toilet, "Can someone bring me a spoon?" nuff said! will respond later Chuckster
Oh Chuck, blech.....Glad to see you commenting you lurker. Talked to your Dad, trying to fix it so we can meet ya'll at the pool next time you are down here. Love Yah!
Chase-I agree, I am confused about how his shoe got stuck in there too. Laces I can see, and a skirt that is too long I HAVE seen. When I was 16 I had on this long rayon skirt and it got stuck in the bottom of an excalator....it had an elastic waist....not pretty.
Yikes! Reminds me that most summer footwear leaves toes primed for a mangling. . .yikes!!!
Sweet Jesus! Thanks for the warning. My 2yo LOVES crocks.
That poor baby boy.
