Killing me softly....

I JUST set up Google Reader.....I know..duh. It does make going through my list of must reads a lot easier but some of y'all are just killing me. I open it up and have like 70 new posts to check out....I am clicking my way down the list....stopping by on some of them to post a comment...and all of a sudden I have 78 new ones to read.

I am a little obsessive..I like to keep the number at 0. I check back several times a day and go through the new ones...I am terrified that I will wake up one morning and see:

All Items (1,222,785)

I am going to have to get over this.

I use Bloglines. It's so much easier, but good lord, I'm worried I might miss something if I don't read all 159 posts!

I get obsessive with it also. Sometimes I have to click all read and start over.

How funny, I just wrote about this today! I think we are all suffering from the sensory overload!

I try to keep up, but really, in the end I click the "All read" button too.

Hard times demand hard actions! (or something like that ;)

I am the same way. I hate having a bunch of unread things piled up.

It okay to mark all as read.

I do it everyday because everyday GR tells me I have at least 200 new, sometimes as many as 500. Everyday.

It makes me want to curl in the fetal position.

Lainey Paney-I just went to Google Reader and set up an account. I entered the addresses of all of the blogs I read and it tells me everytime someone posts something new. Hope that helps!

To All-Thanks for the advice...I suspect the "delete all" option will come in handy next week when I get back from the beach. I hate to do it because I am afraid I will miss the funniest post ever or the one that annoints me the new Queen of the internet...

I use both Bloglines and Google though mostly Bloglines as it's a bit better, plus you don't have to keep signing in all the time.

Now here's an important bit of info...it's not that hard to keep the number at 0, that's what the "mark all read" button is for ;)
